Evolution is a non-profit organization whose mission is to preserve live jazz and big band music through concert performances and special events, and to support other non-profit organizations by raising funds to support their diverse and worthy causes.

Founded in 2004 as the Stardust Orchestra, the all-volunteer organization includes some of the top jazz musicians in the Lowcountry who are committed to keeping big band music alive, relevant, and contemporary. To date, the organization has helped raise more than $600,000 for non-profit causes around the Lowcountry.
